Preheat oven to 350° F.
In a medium-sized bowl mix together the oats, flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a separate bowl beat together oil, sugar, egg & vanilla in a bowl until combined.
Slowly add dry mixture to the wet mixture and combine.
Add in chocolate chips.
Shape dough into 2-inch balls and place onto a baking sheet.
Bake for 10-14 minutes.
